Litigation & Asset Recovery

Litigation is one of ZEILER’s core practices. We regularly represent our clients in disputes before all Austrian and Czech courts and also handle litigation before German courts. Our experience covers all phases of the litigation process, from pre-litigation advice and the assertion of claims to applications for and defense against preliminary injunctions, and the entire litigation process through all instances up until the enforcement of the final judgment.

Our track record in this sector spans all industries and areas of law. In particular, we regularly represent our clients in corporate litigation, construction disputes, product liability litigation, energy disputes, insurance disputes, distributorship disputes, and disputes in the banking and financial sector.

In addition, our employment specialists represent employers before employment tribunals, up to the Supreme Court, in unfair dismissal claims, discrimination cases, requests for reinstatement, and wage-and-hour cases. In the field of industrial relations, our lawyers regularly appear in employment tribunal litigation on works council elections, transfer of undertakings and their influence on works councils, conciliation board litigation, social plans, and shop agreements.

We also have significant expertise in the area of enforcement of domestic and international judgments and arbitral awards. This requires both detailed knowledge of the legal process involved in the enforcement procedures as well as experience in identifying which assets to enforce against. Our team combines these qualities so that we can successfully turn an award or a judgment into funds.
